I can not believe that the NCAA would put basketball ahead of such a positive and uplifting event. It is not like THON is a new thing. So many schools come to study THON and learn how to put on an event similar. Students, Families, Alumni, Friends and Four Diamonds families look forward to that weekend every year because it is magical and the fact that it has remained the same for so long means that if you go back as an alum, you can see yourself there as a student. Besides, does the NCAA really think that any event that is going on that weekend will actually get the attendance they want? Also I was a member of an OPP committee one year, if they think they can clean up from THON in as little as 3 hours, they are sadly mistaken.
