As excited I am that THON finally has a new, much bigger, much better home at the BJC, I am really frustrated by the actions and opinions of some PSU and Big Ten officials, and all of the other individuals responsible for the 44 hour nonsense. Although I do agree with Coco, I too will always love THON no matter how long it lasts or where it is, I will forever support THON and the Four Diamonds Fund, FOR THE KIDS.

What if we allow these selfish individuals who want to shorten THON to do so this year, what happens next year? Will they make up some bogus excuse again to get it to 40 hours? And what about the year after?? Could they get it down to 36 hours?? Which is totally redic. Point is, we cannot allow this to happen, THON must remain a 48 hour event. What is 44 hours anyway?

My question is, who is fighting for THON, for the 48-hour dance marathon that it has been for 33 years? There has to be a way to allow THON to remain a 48 hour event. It really saddens me that some individuals just do not understand what THON is and that it is FOR THE KIDS, who would want to make such a great event 4 hours shorter? It just doesn't make sense. THON is about being selfless, not selfish.

Always and Forever, FOR THE KIDS.
