I can't believe that Dr. Spanier and the Administration are making the overall committee and PSU basketball take the heat for this. The shortening was obviously caused by them (he has been trying to shorten THON for over a decade), and the students are left holding the bag.

I think it is admirable how professionally the Overall Committee is responding, but if I were them, I would be heartbroken that my alma mater betrayed me like that.

I don’t think students and alumni will let Dr. Spanier and Student Affairs get away with this, so I’m still holding out hope that we will be able to maintain our tradition.
