A portion of each ticket sold will benefit THON, so enjoy a night of dollar dogs and reuniting with fellow Penn Staters all for the kids! War on the Shore

The War on the Shore is back for its fifth and biggest-ever event, Saturday August 8th at 5 pm at the Windrift in Avalon. Last year was a huge success with over 425 attendees, raising just over $20,000! This year War on the Shore will be run under the PSU alumni-ran Elpis Foundation (http://www.TheElpisFoundation.org). Elpis is a Philadelphia-based non-profit corporation that raises money for various charities. Come out for a good time and a great cause and help support THON! THON Day Out

The THON Day Out in Baltimore is back by popular demand; after just two years it's already a bi-annual event, proudly endorsed by Baltimore’s Penn State Alumni Association.
The Third THON Day out is Saturday, August 15th from 2 to 6 pm at Taps (1439 South Charles Street). The $5 admission at the door will go directly to THON, and you'll have the option to pay an additional fee of $25 per person to compete in a flip cup tournament (that's $30 total including admission at the door). Entry into the flip cup tournament gets you free domestic light beer from 2 to 6. Half of the event's proceeds will go directly to THON, and we will also have a 50/50 raffle to raise more money for our favorite cause.
If you are competing in the flip cup tournament, please have your captain email Ryan Barth at rdb179@gmail.com or Matt Hutchinson at mshutchinson1@gmail.com with your team members and team name. Team captain's RSVPs must be in by Wednesday, August 12 to have a guaranteed spot in the tournament. Late entries will be accepted at the door if space allows. NYC Summer Scavenger Hunt

What do you get when you mix a scavenger hunt, a trivia game, and one great party? The First Annual NYC Summer Scavenger Hunt to benefit the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group and the 2010 Hope Gala! To register, click here: http://www.psunyc.org/store.html?show_item=1046.
The Summer Scavenger Hunt will take place in and around several bars in the East Village/Gramercy Park neighborhoods. Registration is from noon to 1 pm at the Village Pourhouse (64 Third Avenue). Teams of up to 10 people will be given a clue at the start to take them to their first destination, and for more information about the scavenger hunt, food and drink specials, and more details, please visit http://bitl.ly/1TYbVF.
Teams have until 5 pm to complete the challenge and meet at the final bar for happy hour from 6 to 7 pm at Sidebar (120 East Fifteenth Street), when prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.
You don't need to be a Penn Stater to play, and you don't have to have a team or a full team to register...we'll put you on a team. The cost per person is $35 and includes a free t-shirt. If you're registering a team or more than one person, one you sign up just enter the number of people and then type their names in the "Special Instructions" section.
