On January 23rd, the New York City Chapter, the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group joined forces to sponsor The First Annual 2009 Hope Gala. The event, held at Capitale in New York City, a landmark building on the lower east side, consisted of a silent auction, cocktails, dinner, speeches, dancing and more. With 330+ attendees and their first year, The Hope Gala Committee helped to raise more than
$10,000 for The Penn State Dance Marathon and The Four Diamonds Fund.
