Thank you all who helped support the Thon Fundraiser on January 31st. Thank you to the volunteers, the bands, the bar (and tenders), and those who were able to pull in donations. We couldn't have pulled it off without your help.
We still need to iron out some of the final expenses, but we were able to raise near $10,000 that night, and combined with JoePaLooza in August, the Chapter's donation to THON 09 will beat the $12,500 plateau.
Thank you everyone for your support to Thon and the Chapter.
For The Kids, For The Glory
The new Central Maryland Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association held it's first annual THON fundraiser on February 12, 2009. The THON Happy Hour was held at Jilly's in Ellicott City, MD and attendees were treated to food and drink specials, a sale of THON merchandise, and a chance to learn more about THON and THON Express from our Social VP,
and THON Express runner, Beth Wood Denne. The chapter raised over $500 for THON Express, which will be included in the THON 2009 total, and thus The Four Diamonds Fund.
